Project Concept

The PINES project was conceived in April 2006. I was in my local library - as usual - when I was forced to use the dreaded electronic card catalog system to find a book. Searching the catalog was always frustrating and I rarely found what I wanted.

Over the last six months, I have conducted three extensive usability tests on the current system and the redesign. As a result of the usability and focus group testing, I believe I have developed a significantly more user-centered prototype of the PINES application.
